We first met Marcus at puppy school where he discussed dog care and boarding. Marcus impressed me as a sensible and caring person and we decided to give Akuna a try and we continued to be impressed.

We first met Marcus at puppy school where he discussed dog care and boarding. Marcus impressed me as a sensible and caring person and we decided to give Akuna a try and we continued to be impressed.

| What is your favourite Daisy story? |
Our dog, Daisy, is quite an anxious pup, and doesn't like other animals encroaching on her territory. She barks at passing dogs, humans, cats, birds and even airplanes flying over at 30000 feet! (Strangely she ignores helicopters?!)
About a year ago we acquired two caged birds, a budgie and a fischers lovebird. At that time daisy was frantic about these trespassers and attempted to rattle their cages whenever possible. After some months Daisy and the birds settled into an uneasy piece, with Daisy content to intimidate the birds by breathing heavily on them and then watching them flap about.
The budgie continues to flap about when challenged but the lovebird, named Cleo, has learned to deal very effectively with Daisy. When Daisy approaches the cage Cleo hops over to where Daisy has her nose up against the cage and attempts, occasionally successfully, to bite Daisy's nose. A new truce has emerged from this situation. It is very amusing to watch Cleo challenge Daisy. Cleo gets a look on her that seems to say "come closer you stupid dog and let me bite you!".
38 kilo's of dog being intimidated by about 38 grams of bird is quite a site.
