Why can't the dogs be left out in the big 1 acre exercise yard all day?
It sounds ideal but really it's not possible given the array of dogs we have in at any one point in time from Alaskan Malamutes to Chihuahuas. Add to that un-desexed factor(fights and pregnancy's and you start to imagine just how unworkable this arrangement would be.
The other interesting thing is that the dogs themselves enjoy the down time of having their own space and often wait by the gate to be put away nearing the end of playtime. (After they've fully exhausted themselves that is)
Is the acre exercise area fenced?
You bet! No one leaves here unless it's at the end of a leash with their owner.
Will you administer medicine?
Sure, we are very happy to administer medication. We do ask that you write down what types of medication it is, when it is to be given and what it is for. This allows us to not have any miss understanding about dosage or days to be given. We charge a flat $5.00 fee for this service.

My dogs afraid of storms. What will you do if a storm comes?
Many dogs are afraid of storms and we do our level best to assure the dogs that the sky's not falling in. We do this by walking around the kennels and spending time with the dogs who are effected. Owners often worry that their dogs may escape in a panic, which is very possible if a kennel's fencing is not sound. Having spent $15,000 on new fencing in 2001 I can guarantee that our fencing is sound for dogs who really lose it in storms we place them in our blow dry crates in the grooming room and cover them over with dark blankets. This arrangement provides a secure cave like environment and seems to make a positive difference to how well these dogs cope. It also more importantly prevents a dog from hurting itself.
