| Why you first choose Akuna Care? |
|
I found the website and combed it for information, loved the guest book; the photos and the extras (I didn't want Rio stuck in a cage for the whole time we were away - I wanted him to feel loved). I had decided to give Akuna Care a go, when our vet asked us where we were going to board Rio, I mentioned Akuna and she couldn't say enough good things about the facility and Marcus - we were sold.

| Why you continued to use our service? |
I think the extras are great, Rio loves swimming, playing and bushwalks, plus he can still have his daily chicken wing - a very important event. The pickup and delivery service (and Ajay) are also great, as well as convenient; it's definitely less traumatic on both of us. When Rio goes to Akuna and I feel like he is going away on holiday as well, rather than me leaving him behind.
To top it all off Rio always comes home happy, bouncy, clean(!) and totally unstressed - he's obviously had a great time as well as being happy to be home. He's usually more obedient as well, no doubt some doggy manners have been taught!

| What is your favourite Rio story? |
Rio is a self exercising dog in the summer months. All I have to do is walk him to the oval and then I can sit and read a book for an hour while he chases the swallows like a lunatic.
He is a bird dog - but a very selective one. Only swallows are prime chasing material, although he might succumb to a black parrot or two in the lean winter months.
On the walk home we have to stop every 100 metres for him to have a lie down, or he pulls back on the lead if he thinks I am walking too fast - he could have chased those birds for another 30 minutes though!
One lady felt so sorry for us she stopped her car and offered to drive us home - we were about five houses away so I didn't have much further to carry him.
