| What is your favourite Zac story? |
Zac was born on Anzac day 2004 we had selected the breed after many years of thought and discussion. Deciding the kids were old enough and active enough we were lucky to find a brown and white border collie puppy. When we started our search for a healthy puppy my husband spent his childhood holidays on a family farm and now he had the dog he always wanted.
Most people couldn't believe how big he was as a puppy or how inquisitive a border collie could be. We quickly learned to dog proof half the house, close doors, not drop socks or anything, push in chairs, not leave any food on the bench or close to the edge {after he grabbed a knife and took off outside we learnt he would get anything} Visiting kids are the hardest to train shoes and socks next to the trampoline would quickly disappear.
Puppy school and a dog course at canine college was essential and very valuable as now at almost 2 he has got much calmer although still easy to excite with a game or visitors.
